Alice Ruth Wessel, age 82, of Valley Park, MO, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Big Bend Woods Healthcare Center, Valley Park, MO. She was born November 17, 1935, in Oakley, to Harry A. and Margaret Catherine (Gloeckler) Wessel. She was a secretary in health services.

Survivors include her sisters: Joan Thimesch of Kingman, KS and Catherine Haack of St. Louis, MO.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents and sisters: Margaret Colburn and Theresa Mika.

Visitation: 9 - 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m., both at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oakley. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
