Cecil Sanders, age 95, of Oakley, formerly of Vidor, Texas, died Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the Logan County Hospital, Oakley. She was born February 18, 1920 in Pryor, OK to Elmer and Rita Hendrickson Black. Cecil married Rev. Roscoe Sanders on October 8, 1939 at Rocky Ford, CO. Cecil served in many positions in the Wesleyan Churches in Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Colorado, helping her husband Rev. Roscoe Sanders.

Preceded in death by her husband Rev. Roscoe Sanders, four brothers and five sisters. Survivors include her son, Rex (Karen) Sanders, of Pearland, TX, daughters: Shirley (Garry) Berkgren of Oakley and Gaylene (Dale) Wright of Marana, AZ; seven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and a great-great granddaughter.

Memorial service: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015 at the Oakley Wesleyan Church. No visitation. Inurnment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Vidor, TX. Memorials to Oakley Wesleyan Church in care of Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, P.O. Box 221, Oakley 67748.
