Obituary

Donald Leroy Weber, age 65, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at his home in Wichita. He was born on April 6, 1949 in Ransom, Kansas to Adolph Henry and Grace (Turner) Weber.

Don married Goldie Eslinger and brought 3 children into their home. He worked for various farmers in Wray, Stratton, and Cheyenne Wells, CO and Goodland, KS. After the divorce he worked at Pioneer Feedlot in Oakley. In Dallas, Texas he drove a truck for a lumber company for 3 years, worked in Wichita at Star Lumber Company for 2 years, and in Oklahoma he worked laying pipeline for 8 years. Don had a miniature Pinscher dog he named Cali which he loved very dearly, and had so much fun with her; she went everywhere with him. Don loved fishing and camping. He was a very big sports fan: football—Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs; baseball—Kansas City Royals; basketball—L.A. Lakers. His favorite music was country western. His favorite song was "He Stopped Loving Her Today" by George Jones.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Grace, brother Henry Weber, and brother-in-law Ned Wolbach.

Don is survived by two sons: Jody (wife Debbie) and grandchildren: Danielle Primm, Miriah and Shane Weber, great-granddaughter Shya Robinson; and Rusty (wife Stephanie) grandchildren: Austin (wife Trisha), and Dylan and Brittany Weber, and great-grandchild on the way; and daughter, Rhonda Weber (husband Darrin). Also surviving are three brothers: Larry Weber (Rita) of Grainfield, Bob Weber (friend Linette Garrison) of Newton, Ted Weber (Lori) of Salina; six sisters: Lois Wolbach of Akron, CO, Wilma Bugbee (Erny) of Alma, NE, Janet Miller (Dan) of Burlington, CO, Linda Carmichael (Darol) of Blue Springs, MO, Diana Fowler (Ron) of Wichita, Sandra Ball (Brady) of Henderson, CO, and many aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside service: 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2014 at St. Joseph Cemetery, Oakley. Visitation: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Friday, at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.
