Donna Lee
Dumler

Donna L. Dumler was born January 24, 1933 in Russell, Kansas to Charles and Helen (Resley) Steward. After graduating from Russell High School she married Frank E. Dumler on June 1, 1951. They made their home in Russell until 1955 when Frank purchased a farm northwest of Oakley, Kansas. Donna and Frank had four children: Matthew, Pamela, Alex, and Kathleen.
During her lifetime in Oakley, Donna was a member of the Oakley Library Board and an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. She loved to play bridge and belonged to many card clubs. Donna had many different hobbies; including quilting, painting, ceramics, and working in her flower garden. Her family was always a recipient of her many talents. One of Donna's greatest joys were her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Donna loved planning family gatherings and always looked forward to Christmas. Shopping and gift wrapping were usually finished by June of each year.
She is survived by her sons: Matthew and wife Eleanor, Alex and wife Mary; her two daughters, Pamela and husband Gene Miller, and Kathleen Funk. Grandchildren: Luke (Randi) Dumler, Maggie (Pete) Koster, and Lacey (Kurt) Felker, Kyle (Heather) Miller, Kelsey (Ryan) French, Chase Miller, Carl (Jodi) Dumler, Molly (Chris) Johnson, Emily Dumler, Aspen Montoya, and Kaid (Janie) Funk, and nineteen great grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank, daughter-in-law Stephanie Kliewer Dumler, son-in-law, Roger Funk, granddaughter, Dessie Funk, and sister, Fern Major.
