Eva Mae Beougher, age 90 of Oakley, (formerly of Gove), died June 30, 2014 at the Logan County Hospital, Oakley. She was born October 21, 1923 in Norton to Albert and Eva (Howell) Putman. She married Harold J. Beougher on August 17, 1941 in Hill City. They lived on the Beougher family farm south of Campus for 15 years. Eva and Harold moved to Clifton, Colorado in 1956 because of Eva's health. They moved back to Gove in 1979.
Eva was a homemaker and Mom and Grandma to a lot of kids besides her own six, and some of them became her own son-in-laws. She crocheted a lot, making all kinds of crocheted crafts for numerous people and relatives. Eva was always the one that was called when anyone in the extended family needed help. She was a 4-H chicken judge and instructor for several years.
Her husband Harold passed away in November, 1995, her son Ronnie passed away in April, 1997, and her grandson Matthew passed away in April of 2012. She was also preceded in death by her brother Leonard Putman, and sisters Edith Runyon and Enid Putman.
Eva is survived by five children: Sonya Bishop and Coleen (Bill) Schreiner of Grand Junction, CO, Vicki (Merv) Anway of Clifton, CO, Cliff (Chris) Beougher of Gove, Debbie (Dean) Pense of Myrtle Point, Oregon, Dennis Beougher, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley with Pastor Paul Woodall officiating, burial in Gaeland Cemetery, Orion. Visitation: Thursday, July 3 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., and 8:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home.
