Irene Stoecker, age 97, died August 26, 2012 at the Logan County Hospital, Oakley. She was born May 3, 1915 in Lane County to Albert and Bessie (Simonsen) Vollbracht. She was a homemaker. Irene married August Stoecker on June 2, 1935 in Oakley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband August, brothers Delton and Herlan Vollbracht, and sister Velma Stoecker.

Survivors include son Larry and wife Joyce of Dayton ,Tenn., three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2012 at Oakley United Methodist Church with interment in the Oakley Cemetery. Visitation 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.
