James Doyle "Jim" Jones, age 82, of Oakley, passed away on August 24, 2022 at Colby Health and Rehab in Colby.  Jim was born on May 12, 1940 in Monument to Haskel and Dorothy (Greenwood) Jones, the third of four children.

Jim married Patty Schwebach on Jul 20 , 1961 in Guyman, Oklahoma.  During Jim's life, his occupation was starting out as mechanic and car salesman and then most of his life custom harvesting.  Jim also worked as a handyman fixing multiple items.  Jim spent much of his life jeeping, hunting and his dog, Buffy.  Jim and Patty raised their son, Brent, to work hard and enjoy life, and many of the lessons taught have been passed on to his grandchildren in which Jim dearly loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Haskel and Dorothy, and his brother, Max Jones.

Jim is survived by his wife Patty, his son Brent, 2 granddaughters: Samantha and Elizabeth, 3 great grandchildren: Tayden, Mavrick, and Adrian, his brother Jon Jones, and sister Janice Barnett.

A Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 at the United Christian Church of Oakley with Pastor Bob Kelly officiating.  Visitation: 8:00 a.m. to service time at the church.  Memorials to the Jim Jones Memorial Fund and the United Christian Church of Oakley may be sent in care of Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, P.O.
