Juanita Irene Burkhead, age 63, of Wilson, formerly of Oakley, passed away on December 18, 2020 at Wilson Care and Rehabilitation, Wilson.  She was born on January 4, 1957 in Nevada, Missouri to Ernest and Irene (Engelhardt) West.  She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and was a homemaker.  Juanita married Gerald Reed Burkhead, Sr. on December 15, 1997 in Oakley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernie and Irene, husband, Gerald Burkhead, Sr. (2018), and infant daughter, Valerie Burkhead.

Juanita is survived by her sons:  Gerald Burkhead, Jr. of Wilson and Jeffrey Burkhead of Aurora, CO, her daughter, Angelia Burkhead of Salina; two grandsons, and brothers:  David (Susan) West, Douglas West, and Scott West, all of Oakley.

Funeral Service:  Monday, December 28, 2020, 10:30 a.m. at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.  Interment will be in Oakley Cemetery.  Visitation:  Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
