Leslie James "Les" Keller passed away on March 16, 2015 in Windsor, CO. Les was born to David and Sophia Busch Keller on their farm southeast of Mingo, KS in Thomas County on June 8, 1926.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Daniel and Ben, and three sisters: Ruth Keller, Mary Keller, and Rebecca Keller, along with grandsons, Jeremy Keller and Konnel Keller; sister-in-law Wanda Keller and brother-in-law Paul Bedore.
On April 12, 1955, Les married Geraldine (Jeri) Shull from Colby, KS. To this union were born four children: Sanfra (Lou) Box, Edgewood, NM, Dena (Glen) Zahorka, Aurora, CO, James (LaNette) Keller, Hepler, KS, and Gary (Raelene) Keller of Oakley, KS. He is survived by his wife Jeri of Windsor, CO, his children, twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a sister, Esther Bedore of Colby, KS, a brother, Leo (Betty) Keller of Oakley, KS, and a sister-in-law, Elsie Keller of Colby, KS.
Les honorably served our country in the U.S. Army for two years. Les was in agri-business, as he truly enjoyed farming and the cattle business. Above all, Les loved the Truth and way of God since it was revealed to him in his mid-years by the teachings of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. He highly valued and appreciated this Truth of God until his death.
A visitation was held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service at 5:30 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S. Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO. Graveside services with military honors by the U.S. Army, Ft. Riley and Oakley V.F.W. Post 2981 and burial were held at the Oakley Cemetery on Saturday, March 21 at 11:00 a.m. in Oakley, KS, with lunch immediately following. Everyone was welcome! Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley conducted the graveside services.
