Obituary

Mary M. (Seat) Teeter, age 90, was born November 8, 1929 in Granite, Greer County, Oklahoma to Clarence and Elizabeth (Brown) Seat.  On December 22, 2019 at the Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care, surrounded by her family and a chorus of classic country music, she was called to her heavenly home.

Mary was united in marriage on December 27, 1951 to Ammon "Mac" Teeter, and to this union 5 daughters were born.  Mary, or "Gram" as she was so affectionately known by her grandchildren, spent the majority of her adult life as a waitress and housewife.  She was a master gardener who loved tending her multiple flower beds, and had a row of lilac bushes that would make any florist envious.  She enjoyed cooking, playing board games, reading books, and was an avid sports fan.  The thing she enjoyed the most was her family.  Nothing brought her more joy than seeing any of her children, grandchildren, or great grandchildren come walking through her front door.  She never missed an opportunity to brag on her family and to glorify all the blessings that God had afforded her.  Her faith and love for Jesus Christ was unflappable, and no matter the circumstance she didn't hesitate to be thankful for God's will.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Elizabeth, husband, Mac, daughters: Victoria Allen, Anita (Kay) Barnett, infant daughters: Virginia Teeter and Sherrie Teeter, and sisters: Maxine Seat and Eva Sisson.

She is survived by a daughter, Kristie Teeter of Grinnell, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
