Oliver Henry Lusk, age 78, of Oakley passed away on May 24, 2013 at the Logan County Manor in Oakley. He was born on June 9, 1934 in Ninaview, CO to William Lloyd and Gladys Hazel (Higgins) Lusk. Oliver married LaDonna Isabelle Ryder on July 29, 1967 at the Oakley Christian Church. He became stepfather to Gayle, Pam, and Dee. He was a retired Oakley City employee.

As the grandchildren entered his life, he enjoyed watching them show cattle, sheep, and hogs; going to sports events, and their many other activities. He was very proud of his grandchildren's accomplishments.

When Oliver retired from the City of Oakley, he helped his sons-in-law; Ron with his cattle herd and Ken at the feedlot.

Oliver was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Gladys, his wife LaDonna (2007), three brothers: Levi Lusk, Lloyd Lusk, and James Lusk, and three sisters: Florence Lusk, Reecey Tanner, and Essie Lusk.

Oliver's survivors are his step-daughters: Gayle Williams of Oakley, Pam Moser (Ken), Colby and Dee Siruta (Ron), Oakley; brothers: Robert Lusk, Camyo, TX, Paul Lusk (Esther), Beaver, OK, Carl Joe Lusk, Idaho Falls, UT, and David Lusk, Larned; sister Alice Berger, 5 grandchildren: JoElle Van Eaton (Chad), Austen Moser (Ashley), Kylie Austin (Wylee), Drew Siruta and Kraig Siruta; three great grandchildren: Kaelyn, Taylor, and Zander Van Eaton; brother-in-law Elmen "Bud" Wright, Oakley, and sister-in-law Lucille Lusk of Brighton, CO, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service: at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley with interment in the Oakley Cemetery. Visitation: 5 – 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
