Patty Wellman, age 78, of Colby, (formerly of Oakley) passed away on February 21, 2022 at the Citizens Medical Center, Colby.  Patty was born on November 20, 1943 in Smith Center to Curtis Arlo and Frances Lucille "Lucy" (Thompson) Wellman.

Patty moved to Oakley in August of 1994 with DSNWK services.  She lived independently and worked at Farmers State Bank in Oakley.  Patty enjoyed community activities, eating out, coffee with friends and community members.  Patty retired in July of 2008 and moved from Oakley in 2012.  Patty liked to tease and joke with Marinna and other friends.  She enjoyed music and dancing.  We will miss her ornery happy smiles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Lucy, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Patty is survived by several cousins.

A visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.  There will be no funeral service.  Patty will be laid to rest at her final resting place in Sweet Home Cemetery, Lebanon, KS at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28.  The public is invited to attend.
