Paulina May Rudell, age 82, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Logan County Manor in Oakley, KS. Born October 10, 1929 to James and Edith (Arie) Dinning, she grew up in Oakley and attended the Oakley schools graduating with the class of 1947. Paulina had three brothers, John, James, and Ray Gene, and two sisters Louise Nelson and Betty Rechard, all which preceded her in death.

On August 17, 1947, she married John James Rudell in Oakley, he preceded her in death in 1987. Paulina served Logan County as Register of Deeds for 28 years. Paulina loved crafts, cross stitching and crocheting afghans for her children and grandchildren. She loved reading and watching movies.

Paulina and John had four children: John Rudell Jr. and his wife Melanie of Brush, CO; Larry Rudell and his wife Karen of Loveland, CO; Melissa Rudell of Hays and Dan Rudell of Oakley. Paulina was the extremely proud grandmother of five grandchildren, Crystal, Stephanie, Matthew, JJ and Jena and one great-grandson, Logan. All of her children and their families survive.

Paulina was a loving, strong and independent mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed.
