Robert "Bob" Alan Nolting of Longmont, CO, lost his life unexpectedly on September 17, 2017 while returning home from a family visit to Indiana.  Bob was born in Linton, Indiana on September 7 ^th , 1960 to Kay and Jerry Nolting.  Bob was preceded in death by his uncle Roger Hasler and cousin Kelly Hasler, and his grandparents Ruth and Harold Nolting.

Bob is survived by his wife Vickie Nolting of 34 years (née Vick); his son Landon and daughter Carson Nolting; his parents Kay and Jerry Nolting; his siblings Todd and Kim Nolting; his grandparents Leland and Eurtis Hasler; his in laws Don and Carol Vick; his brother and sister-in-law Don and Deanna Vick, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Bob graduated from Bloomington High School North, in Bloomington, IN, and went on to graduate from Vincennes University, in Vincennes, IN with a degree in Laser Optics.  Vickie and Bob met in college.  After graduation, they were married on May 21, 1983 and left to start their life in Colorado.  This was their dream.  They followed it, making so many wonderful friends and memories.  They started their family in Longmont, CO.  Bob was employed at UNAVCO, a position he loved and a company he respected.  Bob and Vickie co-own and operate the local business, Hair On Wheels, in Longmont, CO.

Bob will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him.  He loved family, music, and history.  He had an uncanny memory for dates, times and places, especially when playing Trivial Pursuit.

A celebration of life will be held on November 11, 2017 from 1-4pm at The St. Vrain, 635 3rd Ave., Longmont, CO 80501.  The family suggests to make memorial contributions (Bob Nolting Memorial Fund) in lieu of flowers directly to the Noltings' to help them through this transitional time.
