Robert "Bob" Franklin George, age 77, of Oakley, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in Hays.  Bob was born on January 26, 1945 in Quinter to Alva and Verna (Schroeder) George.

Bob married Gerrie Marie Engel on January 28, 1967 in Oakley.

He is survived by his wife, Gerrie, their sons, Jason George and Lewis George; grand kids:  Aryan George and Chelsae George, his sisters:  Lois (Gil) Sigg, Janice (Wilbur) Racette, and Louetta Albers; his brothers:  Dan (Karla) George and Bill (Brenda) George, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Verna, and brother-in-law, LeRoy Albers.

Bob was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.  He enjoyed family - hunting, fishing and bowling.  Bob's happiest times were adopting their 2 sons, and being around the grandkids.  Bob will be greatly missed.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oakley, with Deacon Dennis Engel officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.  Visitation:  5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2022 at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m.  Memorials to the Bob George Memorial Fund can be sent to Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, P.O.
