Rose Redel's Obituary
Rose Redel, age 93, of Oakley passed away on April 13, 2015 at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City.
She was born November 24, 1921 in Antonino (Ellis County), Kansas to John L. and Josephine (Ruder) Gerstner. She married Adrian T. Redel on October 19, 1950 in Hays. Rose was a WW II Womens Army Corp veteran, and a homemaker.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Adrian (2001), and 9 siblings.
Survivors include her daughters: Sharon Harrell of Virginia Beach, VA, MaryJo Neuman (Mark) of Garden City, Adrienne Carrica (Joseph) of Chaska, MN, and Janet Ptacek (Thomas) of Springdale, AR, 14 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
Celebration of her life and a funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 16 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oakley with Fr. Donald Pfannenstiel officiating. Visitation: 5 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home. No rosary/wake service. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Oakley.
