Roy LaVern Ottken, age 84, died October 26, 2012 at Haysville Healthcare Center, Haysville, KS.

He was born September 23, 1928 in Grinnell to Arthur and Martha M. (Huber) Ottken. He married Marjorie Albertson on June 22, 1947 in Grinnell. He was an electrician and retired with DuPont in Topeka.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marge (July 26, 2008), his parents Arthur and Martha, and a sister Dorothy Armstrong.

Survivors include his daughters Roylene (Ron) Klein of Derby, KS, and Renae (Allan) Leiker of Pueblo, CO, 3 grandchildren: Troy Leiker of Redondo Beach, CA, Karen Klein of New York City, NY, and Roger Klein of Wichita, KS, and 1 great grandson: Jorden Leiker.

Funeral service 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2012 at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley, KS with burial in Grinnell Township Cemetery. Visitation: Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
