Vera Hernandez, 83, died January 9, 2015 at the Logan County Manor, Oakley.
She was born September 12, 1931 in Oakley to Joe and Maria (Franco) Perez. She married Jose Hernandez in 1970 in Oakley. She was a waitress at Colonial Steakhouse.
Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Pete Perez and Guadalupe "Lupe" Avila; and sister Rose Hernandez.
Survivors include son Lupe Hernandez of Oakley, brother Amos Avila of Oakley, sisters: Lucille Perez of Oakley and Anita Oliveros of Sutherland, Nebraska.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 14 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oakley, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation: Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home with a rosary/wake service at 7:30 p.m.
