Oakley – Wesley D. Herdt, 64, died October 11, 2013 at his residence in rural Logan County. He was born May 5, 1949 in Colby to Lester and June (Gunter) Herdt. He was a farmer and rancher. He married Rajean Mullender on Sept. 29, 1969 in Russell, and Cindy (Cunningham Westbrook) on July 29, 1990 in Bird City.

He was preceded in death by his father, infant son Raydean, and wife Cindy.

Survivors include his mother June of Oakley, daughter Gina Yost of Eloy, AZ, stepson Chris Westbrook of Oakley, sisters Anita Swenson of Oakley and Gloria Gillespie of Roscoe, TX, and 3 grandchildren.

Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Oakley with interment in the Oakley Cemetery. Visitation: Monday 5 – 8 p.m. at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.
